What this site is

• A free, browser-based viewer for .eml, .emlx and .msg email files.
• Written guides about those formats.
• An independent project — EML Tool is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Microsoft, Google or Apple.
• Product names appear only to describe compatibility and belong to their respective owners.

Your files, your responsibility

Files you open are processed on your own device and never reach our servers. That also means you remain fully responsible for the files you choose to open and for complying with any laws or agreements that apply to their contents. Opening a suspicious email here is safer than opening it in a mail client because active and remote content is blocked by default. If you choose to load remote images, the sender may learn that the message was opened. No tool makes malicious attachments safe to download and run — use judgment.

Content accuracy

The how-to guides are tested in current software versions and dated, but mail apps and operating systems change their menus and behavior over time. If a step no longer matches what you see, the software has likely updated since our last check — the page's date stamp tells you how fresh it is.

• Republish or substantially reuse our writing without linking back to the original page.
• Pass our writing off as your own.

Pro purchases and refunds

• Pro is a one-time purchase that unlocks batch EML → PDF conversion — either a 24-hour batch pass or a lifetime license. Neither is a subscription and neither renews. The pass's 24 hours start when your first batch finishes, not at purchase.
• Payments are processed by Stripe or LemonSqueezy, depending on region and availability; your receipt names which one. Card details go directly to the payment processor and never touch our servers. Where LemonSqueezy is used it acts as merchant of record and handles taxes and receipts.
• Refund policy: if Pro does not work as described, contact us within 30 days of purchase for a full refund — no questions. We cannot offer refunds after 30 days because the product is a digital download with no usage tracking.
• Your license key is personal and non-transferable.

This site is provided as-is, free of charge, with no guarantee of accuracy, availability, or fitness for any particular purpose. We're not liable for outcomes of using the viewer or following a guide here — including decisions made based on how an email renders or exports.
